Steven AguilarHello! My name is Steven Aguilar (he/they) [what's this?] I am a teacher, technical director, and director, born in Houston, TX. I received my BFA in Theatre Education from the University of Houston and am also an AHS graduate (2018). THIS SCHOOL YEAR, 2022-2023, WILL BE MY VERY FIRST YEAR AS A TEACHER AND I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE JOURNEY AHEAD!
I am passionate about anti-racism, creating theatre with young people, and all things tech! I admire storytelling through design and the influential power of the arts. In my free time, I enjoy dabbling in digital art, trying new Instagram recipes, binging Netflix shows, trying new foods, and hanging with my dog Miles. Some of the joys in my life include Whataburger, boba, breakfast tacos, listening to full albums, anime, and clean formatting. I am a strong believer that breakfast should be served all day– everyday. Most recently, I worked as the technical director at UH's summer theatre camp, CAT Camp, and worked with Kingwood High School as a student teacher/assistant director in the spring of 2022.
